Katie’s work has appeared in top regional and national publications including The Boston Globe, Quarterly Review of Wines, CBS Boston, Patch.com, Newburyport Magazine and many local newspapers. A graduate of Salem State College with a bachelors degree in English and French, Katie holds her wine tasting degree from l’Institute American in Aix-en-Provence, France. Katie has worked as a political, police and breaking news and lifestyle reporter over her career and has received national recognition for being part of CBS Boston news team coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings, winning a duPont-Columbia Award in 2014. They were also recognized by the Peabody Awards. In addition to freelance writing, Katie has worked as a communication associate and speech writer for top state politicians and candidates.
